I love the expression “a certain slant of light”, or “a new slant of light”. Such phrases always remind me of Emily Dickinson and her “tell the truth but tell it slant, success in circuit lies…”
Spring’s truth is a slant truth – we’ll still be catching it out of the corner of our eye for a while. Then? Color and fragrance! I think everyone is ready.
