Gratitude Award Tiles

Gratitude Award Tiles

4th year to make these, they are given by New Mexico Literary Arts each year to a group and/or a poet who has given a lot to the community.

I got them glazed and they are firing as I type.

Life is full.

What a splendid idea – and the tiles are really attractive. I like the colors – they’re certainly evocative of the area and its arts.

Thank you, Linda – the colors are different now that the tiles are fired. I will post a pic of how they look now. Jeff just took them to the award presentation today.

What a nice gesture. And what a fabulous creative process to make.

Oh! They’re even more beautiful now! I love ceramics, and sometimes have thought to try my hand again. My greatest piece to date is a burgundy-glazed, coiled ashtray I made for my dad in… uh…. 1956? Good grief.
