Maggie looks sweet as can be, but she also looks like she has some years behind her. I hope she’s still with you, but I suspect she might not be. It’s always hard to lose one of our animal friends — if that’s the case, I hope it was easy for her and not too hard for you.

You are perceptive, Linda — she passed on May 14th after a tragic accident. She lived just past her 15th birthday, without hearing, without much movement in her back legs, eyesight very poor. Her digestion still very good! You sound experienced with dogs.

I’ve only once had dog, long ago, but I had a beloved kitty who died at 18 — and I certainly have lived through the experience with many friends with dogs. I had the dog in Liberia, and he died after an accident, too. At least I still have one photo of him.

Important relationships, eh? thanks for your solidarity!
